Pregnancy

PregnancyThis is a question that I get asked a lot, “how can I get pregnant?”

The best thing you can do is to get yourself into the healthiest state possible.

Make sure that you are a healthy weight, and eating as healthy as possible.

Regular exercise can not only regulate you weight, help reduce stress levels and releases endorphins that make you feel great. Boosting your mental and physical wellbeing whilst helping to promote good sleep.

If you are not keen on exercise try to do something that you like there’s no point joining a gym if you don’t go! A simple idea is park further away from work and walk, dancing can be great fun, swimming and cycling there are lots of different classes out there. Exercise in moderation.

Walking is great exercise and it doesn’t cost anything, 15-20 minutes a day can make a difference.

Getting in shape before you get pregnant may help you maintain a healthy pregnancy.

When it comes to food it is important to take a look at your diet and try to limit your intake of sugar, salt, alcohol, additives, preservatives and ready meals (which can contain hidden sugar and salt to make them more tasty).

It is fine to have occasional treats just try not to have them all the time.

After coming off the pill it might take sometime for your periods to regulate and settle down for most women it can take 2 to 4 weeks for others it can take longer for their natural cycle to be re-established.

Feeling stressed out?

Eating a healthy diet and exercising may help you manage your stress levels.

Try and learn how to relax.

Lack of sleep  can result in hormone imbalances, quality sleep is required make sure you get enough.

Are you ready to have a baby?

Emotional health is just as important as physical health.

Do not forget to include your partners in all of the above remember you are both in this together!
